The OET test is designed to assess English ability within the healthcare sector. The test assesses English listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills using materials that reflects real workplace tasks and language. The test is tailored to 12 healthcare professions including: Dentistry, Dietetics, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Radiography, Speech Pathology and Veterinary Science.
What is OET?
The OET test (Occupational English Test) is the English Language test for professionals in the healthcare system who wish to practice their profession in an English-Speaking environment. The test was established in the late 1980s under contract to the Australian Federal Government and continues to remain relevant through continuous research and validation.
